This is a hybrid role with on-site expectations in Ann Arbor, MI. You will work early mornings, evenings and weekends for events. Travel may be required. Purpose:

As the Marketing Specialist for Tauber Institute for Global Operations, you will develop creative ideas for marketing campaigns, creating brand messaging to improve brand awareness, research and analyze data, and developing sales presentations. You will work with your team to launch the marketing plan for the new Tauber brand strategy. You will report to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities*

  • Build marketing programs to support specific marketing objectives across different channels and segments to support our overall strategic marketing plan.

  • Create a marketing strategy.

  • Market through multiple channels and segment databases working with large datasets.

  • Develop business cases for marketing programs at the proposal stage and make recommendations on marketing tactics.

  • You will intake marketing requests and divide them.

  • Evaluate the impact of marketing programs in achieving their stated objectives, and recommend continuous improvement opportunities accordingly.

  • You will manage the development and execution of three annual publications: our Spotlight! Project Showcase, Student Resume, and annual report.

  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, driving collaboration with the stakeholders and leveraging the right internal processes.

  • Work with the Tauber Team, other marketing teams, other internal stakeholders, and external agencies and vendors.

  • You will track your spending and attain quotes, gain approval, and follow UM's Standard Practice Guide (SPG).

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required or equivalent work experience.

  • 3+ years working in marketing, advertising, communications or public relations.

  • Understand how to cultivate and execute brand strategy.

  • Experience preparing and producing publications with vendors.

  • You understand marketing analytics, marketing calendar tools, SEO, and digital marketing platforms and tools.

  • Demonstrated experience managing a project pipeline.

  • Experience with website design, updates and development.

  • Exposure to developing and implementing B2B and B2C digital campaigns.

Additional Information

The general salary range for this position is $63,000 - $70,000. You can expect to be paid a great compensation package. Factors used to determine salary include experience, knowledge and skills for the position. You are encouraged to discuss salary questions to honor alignment and transparency throughout the recruiting process. Selected candidates whose start date is 4/1/2024 or after, will not be eligible for the university FY24-25 salary/merit plan unless otherwise notified.
