ABOUT THE JOB DETAILS: 

Hybrid Work Opportunity – This position has the potential to work from home as much as 90% of the time with management approval.

The role of the Information Security Program Manager (Public Service Manager II) is to incorporate information security into key divisions/programs. The position is a key leadership role for the success, growth, and delivery of the Information Security Program. The position will provide oversight and   advise on multiple technology initiatives to ensure security capabilities are optimized for the Information Security Program. This manager will implement program policies and initiatives in support of the State of Maine information security goals and objectives established by the Chief Information Security Officer.  

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Responsible for providing leadership, direction, and hands-on management for delivery of mission enabling cybersecurity;

  • Design and implement information security programs;

  • Partner with other MaineIT divisions to fortify the state's security posture;

  • Collaborate with other sections of the Information Security Office for the furtherance of the State of Maine Information Security Program Plan;

  • Establishing goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for the successful completion of work;

  • Contribute to the development of the mission strategy and operational direction;

  • Assists the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in planning, program management, cross-functional incident response activities, security coordination efforts, and reporting.

  • Facilitate effective communications; and

  • Lead a multifunctional team.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The manager at this level requires the ability to manage multiple verticals and push for program improvements to strengthen the security posture for the State of Maine. We're looking for a self-motivated individual who thrives in fast-paced environments, can seamlessly drive efforts with multiple stakeholders to accomplish critical initiatives, has demonstrable experience in leadership. The candidate must have minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in a leadership role, managing programs, and experience in working as a cross-functional change agent to improve program maturity.

    The selected candidate will be required to successfully pass the required background checks as a condition of employment.
