Johns Hopkins University Laboratory Technician in Baltimore, Maryland
There are two openings for casual summer Laboratory Technician's in the laboratory of Dr. Malia Edwards at the Wilmer Eye Institute. Dr. Edwards and her team study the role of retinal glia and choroidal mast cells in retinal development and disease. The lab’s primary focus is age-related macular degeneration. The lab utilizes a combination of human donor eyes, animal models and cell culture experiments.
The incumbent will be assisting with real time PCR, immunohistochemistry, ELISAs and Western blots. They will also be assisting with data analysis as well as solution preparation in the laboratory.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or graduation equivalent with some science coursework.
Certificate from technical institute or internship experience preferred. Training Certificate from Technical Institute preferred.

Starting Salary Range: $15.25 - $23.00 HRLY (Commensurate with experience)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
