Amazon Senior Security and Loss prevention Manager in Bangalore, India

Description

The primary objective of the Sr. Security & Loss Prevention (SLP) manager is to ensure the protection of people, assets and property of amazon sites in accordance with GSO guidelines and policies. The Sr. Security & Loss Prevention (SLP) manager is a people manager role and reports to Regional Manager. The role is cross-functional which requires deep collaboration and influencing ability with stakeholders from business and corporate functions.

They assist Regional Manager SLP in day to day activities such as investigations, Risk assessments, crisis management, shrink analysis and implementation of security policies, initiatives etc. across all miles. They partner with the regional and program management teams to deliver on projects and drive compliance in the assigned area of responsibility.

Roles and Responsibilities: The following are general areas of responsibility for a Sr. SLP manager.

• Planning, organizing, coordinating, implementing and executing process and procedures laid down by the organization and the SLP function.

• Identify, analyze and prevent inventory shrink/ loss in the defined areas of responsibility.

• Drive self and teams performance metrices through effective mechanisms.

• Engage closely with the relevant stakeholders to build trust and develop mechanisms which add value to business and customer.

• Ensure optimum utilization of the resources to maintain high quality and timely support to business teams.

• Should be able conduct risk assessment for the respective sites and work in accordance with the global security policies and guidelines.

• Ability to independently handle emergency/crisis situations and secure people and assets.

• Contributes in supporting complex investigations into significant acts of wrongdoing against Amazon.

• Maintains Cluster Loss/shrink metrics including the compiling of regular management reports and has an active role in governance and control mechanisms.

• Overseeing the planning, design, installation and ongoing maintenance of physical security measures to meet the operational needs and the risk management requirements.

• Implementing training and awareness improvement initiatives for various levels within the function, operations and support functions.

• Supporting launches of new sites and ensuring adequate physical security measures are being installed to meet standards and risk management requirements in conjunction with the Global site security compliance and build books.

• Forecast, prepare and track CAPEX and OPEX costs as per OP & IOP plan.

• Monitor and measure vendor performance.

• Effectively Engage with Law enforcement in matters related to crisis, investigation or loss prevention whilst adhering to all applicable laws.

Basic Qualifications

·  A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree is required from a recognized university.

 10+ years’ experience in a people management role, leading teams, and growing organizations

 7+ years’ experience in Security and/or Loss Prevention within a supply chain, manufacturing, warehousing or oil and gas, environment, including significant experience in distribution and logistics operations at management level,

 Should have experience in managing team (excluding third party guarding/security service providers)

 Proven experience in Security Risk Management, and the conduct of Security Risk Assessments.

 Proficient with MS Office Professional Suite, including intermediate knowledge of Excel

 Decision Making/ Problem Solving - ability to proactively gather relevant operational data from appropriate sources, conduct investigative analysis to identify security/loss prevention opportunities.

 Communication and Influencing - Excellent verbal and written communication

 Experience in a similar senior level role and proven ability to handle senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

 Certified Lean Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt and/or delivered on projects using concepts.

 Project Management Certification (PMP)

 Industry qualification/certification such as CPP, PCI, PSP, CFE, etc

 Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery

 Experience in change management principles and performance evaluation processes

 Experience communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams, as well as internal and external executive stakeholders

 Experience in delivering projects within scope, time, budget and quality
