Emerson DCS Service Engineer in Basra, Iraq

Job Summary:

As a DCS Service Engineer, you will perform as a focal point for customer technical support including service contracts, projects, and technical solutions. Guide customers on preventative maintenance and configuration adjustments to improve product performance and customer happiness. Responsible for coordination of Emerson personnel and service activities to ensure the delivery of the results encouraged by the customer.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Design, configure, and implement DeltaV control systems for industrial processes.

  • Fix and resolve technical issues related to DeltaV systems.

  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure flawless integration of DeltaV systems with existing infrastructure.

  • Provide technical support and training to clients and internal teams on DeltaV systems.

  • Stay updated on the latest developments in DCS DeltaV technology and recommend innovative solutions to enhance system performance.

  • Participate in project planning, estimation, and execution activities.

  • Perform service and maintenance tasks in accordance with customer schedule on daily & rotation basis.

  • Provide recommendations to the customer on product or solutions, enhancements and system health checks.

  • Own the process of providing resolution to technical issues and resolve Customer disruptive events, where appropriate advising with Emerson CSE (GSC and Product Engineering).

  • Provide on-site on-the-job customer instruction in the application, maintenance and operation of Emerson products.

  • Proactively identify Service/Product opportunities and assist the sales process

  • Proactively promote service, start up and commissioning services and support the sales team as required.

  • Align with all Emerson requirements for business processes including timesheets, site visit reports and all other documentation in line with Emerson internal procedures.

Who you are:

  • Proficiency in configuring and programming DeltaV controllers, workstations, and I/O modules.

  • Strong understanding of industrial control systems and process automation

  • Excellent in problem-solving skills with the ability to fix technical issues.

  • Experience working in a dynamic environment.

For this Role, You Will Need:

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with DCS DeltaV or equivalent experience systems.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in an Engineering field (including control engineering, computer science, Instrumentation, or electronics, etc.).

Relevant certifications (e.g., DeltaV Certified Professional) preferred.

Fluent English verbal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Ability to optimally connect with customers, and team members to recommend potential quality and efficiency improvements, share technical knowledge and report technical problems

Sound knowledge of Emerson, Systems and Software products and services

In-depth knowledge and experience of automation and control systems in process industries,

Multidiscipline knowledge (Customer side and Emerson full portfolio)

This role is required constantly presence on customer site in Iraq
