Core Responsibilities

In this 12-month temporary role, you will join the CAPEX & MRO procurement team that is global responsible for sourcing and defining the global category direction in LEGO® Operations including supply market intelligence, vendor selection and global contracting. They drive the strong and systematic category management on all subcategories (Moulding, Moulds & Moulds Manufacturing, Processing, Packing, HBW, Innovation support and Global MRO). You will get assigned to a specific category, and more specifically:

  • Drive analytics activities i.e. monitor market and supplier development to ensure benchmarking and to support developing new suppliers

  • Support category plans and drive the category sourcing process, applying category insights as well as securing external perspectives that will leverage the LEGO Group’s strategy

  • Support in development and implementation of supply chain resiliency and business continuity plans for critical equipment suppliers in collaboration with the business

  • Strong collaboration with local teams from other procurement categories ensuring a “One LEGO Procurement” team approach to governance and compliance, especially across production site procurement

  • Supplier management to secure a scalable and flexible global supply base

  • Conduct commercial negotiations and supplier relationships management – contracting, negotiations and performance.

The CAPEX & MRO procurement team is based in Billund, Denmark and consists of 11 dedicated and skilled colleagues bringing a diverse set of educational backgrounds, nationalities, etc.

Post purchase it is equally important to monitor the total cost of ownership especially through following maintenance, repair, and operations. Sustain momentum and making way for more balanced growth requires close collaboration across the eco-system. It is no longer just focusing on transparency about today's practices or about the footprint of the products, but on what the new value chain should look like as a system, and how to get there at the right time with the right eco-system for the LEGO Group to reach more children and adults worldwide going forward.

Do you have what it takes?

The ideal candidate is either newly graduated at minimum MSc level or brings 2-3 years of relevant experience within procurement, supply chain analytics or equivalent from an international company. Furthermore, you have:

  • Strong analytical mindset perceiving facts and analytic as the foundation to break complexities and find proper solutions

  • Collaborative working style seeing collaboration as means of creating extraordinary results

  • Proactive “Can do“, focused and result oriented mentality

  • Learning attitude bringing lots of curiosity and eagerness to expand your procurement knowledge

  • Proven experience with MS Office, especially MS Excel. It will be an advantage, if you also have experience with MS Power BI and SAP

  • Proficiency in English both verbal and written

  • Able to travel 10-15 days yearly to visit suppliers in Denmark
