Job Summary:

This position requires outstanding decision making and problem-solving skills with minimal direction. Under the direction of the Quality Control Manager, the position conducts chemical analysis on powder and solid materials to ensure material meets customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare samples and perform analysis using established methods.

  • Organize, report, and maintain records of analysis. Ensure laboratory procedures are being followed.

  • Assist other laboratory technicians with troubleshooting analysis instrumentation.

  • Plan the work of the group and assign work to individuals considering the requirements of the work. Follow up to make sure work is progressing in an effective and economical manner.

  • Act as a point of contact for industry and customer audits.

  • Ensure laboratory procedures are being followed.

  • Lead instrument method development as required for new products.

  • May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one’s skills.

This position is for 6th shift: Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:00pm

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or other STEM related field.

  • 2 years’ experience working in an analytical laboratory.

  • U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in a team-environment.

  • Must have good attendance record.

  • Must be able to work overtime when required.

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. independently.

  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Must have demonstrated initiative and responsibility with minimal supervision.

  • Must have strong computer skills with a focus on data processing.

  • Must be physically capable of: bending, lifting, squatting, twisting, overhead reaching, standing on feet for long period of time – up to 8 hrs, and climbing stairs

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is $23.00/hr to $31.00/hr ; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
