Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sentinel Agile Release Train Engineer/CDRL Project Manager 2 for the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division Engineering and Manufacturing team. This leadership role will be in Colorado Springs, CO, Roy, UT, or Huntsville, AL and will provide enabling support for Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

What You'll Get To Do:

The successful candidate will be the Weapon Systems Team Agile Release Train (ART) Engineer, and will perform the following duties:

  • Implement improved SAFe practices on the SET/SVD team.

  • Ensure the SVD Agile Release Train Management Team and Product Owners are prepared for PI Planning.

  • Coordinate and execute PI Planning for the SVD Team and manage to completion action items and ART level dependencies and risks.

  • Conduct Scrum of Scrums for the teams and work closely with Scrum Masters to ensure PI objectives are tracking to completion.

  • Manage to completion the Program Increments.

  • Implement a Dependency and Risk Aware Culture within SVD.

The candidate will also be the SVD/MS&A CDRL development and delivery project manager and will:

  • Develop method to status CDRL development through delivery in a timely fashion that ensures leadership is made aware of any emerging risks or issues to timely development and delivery of MS&A CDRLs

  • Develop and implement solutions for emerging CDRL risks and issues.

  • Keep leadership informed of CDRL status.

Job Qualifications

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 6 years of related experience or a Masters degree in STEM with 4 years of related experience

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active DoD Secret clearance with an in-scope investigation date within the last 6 years and ability to obtain SAP.

  • Experience as SAFe Agile Release Train Engineer.

  • Experience managing the development and timely delivery of CDRLs.

  • Proven ability to manage dependency and risk management items.

  • Minimum of 3 years of formal management experience to include direct reports/performance reviews.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • SAFe Certified.

  • Experience as part off an Agile release Train Management team.

  • Active Top Secret clearance.

  • Experience with medium to long range missiles and associated modeling.

  • Experience in Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis.

Salary Range: $131,200 - $217,400

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
