1. Must work in a confidential manner to ensure confidentiality of employee and project files.

2. Facilitates the efficient operation of departments by performing a variety of administrative and team-supporting role tasks.

3. Performs administrative duties and may in compose routine correspondence and coordinating activities.

4. Checks quality of own work.

5. May assist in coordinating meeting arrangements.

6. Understands the work scope and integrate priorities for the project.

7. Understands work priorities and schedules.

8. May supervise and coordinate the activities of other project support personnel.

9. Keeps abreast of project and department systems, services relevant to area of responsibility, and project process improvements, procedures, and practices.

10. Prepares documents, using standard word processing, spreadsheets, or other project databases, as needed, to support work activities.

11. Processes a variety of procedural steps in accordance with well-defined procedures and guidelines.

12. Assists with maintaining project databases within assigned department and may produce logs and reports.

13. Assists in gathering information, such as status reports, for project field supervisor(s) and other project personnel as requested.

14. Implements procedures and may train personnel in area of responsibility, including use of project automated systems.

15. May review and resolve daily project support tasks on the project.

16. Assists in collecting and providing information to support records compliance assessments.

17. Updates, maintains and tracks files within project tracking systems.

18. Assists in compiling, creating and maintaining project reports as directed by supervisor.

19. Must be punctual and maintain a dependable level of attendance in accordance to project work rules.

20. Adheres to all safety procedures.

• Primary Duties:

o Provide technical rescue including confined space rescue, technical rope rescue, technical rescue under IDLH environments, as well as first aid and CPR.

o Support Bechtel CCL3 ES&H Advisors in confined space evaluation, permit required confined space rescue plans, atmosphere testing, and other duties requested by management.

o Respond to, contain, and stop hazardous material leaks.

o Abide by Bechtel CCL3 Site Specific ES&H standards and safe work practices.

o Supports project medical staff and their liaising with onsite and offsite medical facilities.

• Secondary Duties (but not limited):

o Manage, distribute, and control air monitors, eyewash stations, communication devices, and confined space equipment.

o Inspections, preventative maintenance, and handling of fire extinguishers, rescue equipment, muster point equipment, supplies air respirator systems, and future equipment requested by management.

o Obtain heat and wind readings.

o Special projects or duties as assigned.

Expectations:

• Rescue Technicians must be able to control emotions and be able to perform duties during high stress environments/operations.

• Must display confidence, provide leadership, and accepts the responsibility entailed in this position.

• In the event that the rescue team is activated, technician must be able to locate the victim, assess any injuries, properly package victim, and remove them from elevation or confined space.

• Must be able to work on rope.

• Facial hair must be kept in compliance to maintain proper seal under supplied air.

• Demonstrates effective communication (verbal, written & listening) and interpersonal skills.

• Engage workers when there is a potential dangerous or concerning work activity and promote safe work performance while monitoring project activities.

• Maintaining office and work area cleanliness.

Qualifications (Education and/or Experience):

• Rescue Technician 40-hour Training Certification

• CPR and First Aid

• Valid driver’s License

• Preferred: EMT-B
