Actalent Architectural Project Manager in Costa Mesa, California

Job Description:

As a Project Manager , you will play a crucial role in overseeing and executing various projects within our organization. Your responsibilities will include planning, designing, executing, and monitoring every aspect of specific projects. We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record in managing commercial projects across different sectors, including Retail, Restaurant, Hospitality, Office, and Mixed Use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop long- and short-term plans, including setting milestones and adhering to deadlines.

  • Coordinate project tasks and delegate responsibilities to team members.

  • Make effective decisions when faced with multiple options for project progression.

  • Serve as a point of contact for cross-functional teams to ensure synergy.

  • Communicate project progress to executives or the board, aligning with organizational goals.

  • Technical Expertise Possess operative knowledge of Building Codes and ADA requirements.

  • Familiarity with California Building Codes and Title 24 Code Compliance.

  • Conduct ADA Surveys and ensure compliance with ADA standards.

  • Utilize AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, and Revit for project design and documentation.

  • Team Leadership and Coordination: Lead effectively within a team environment.

  • Proactively coordinate project activities congruent with Principal involvement.

  • Collaborate with team members to meet Code and Zoning requirements.

  • Communication and Organization: Effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and consultants.

  • Display strong multitasking abilities and sound judgment.

  • Prioritize and manage tasks against deadlines and other metrics.

  • Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail.

    Preferred Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing commercial projects.

  • Advanced AutoCAD skills with knowledge of Sketch-Up and Revit.

  • Ability to lead and coordinate effectively within a team.

  • Familiarity with California Building Codes and Title 24 Code Compliance.

  • Standard ADA Code knowledge and ability to conduct ADA Surveys.

  • Industry practice awareness of commonly used concepts, standards, and procedures.
