Platform Core Services is hiring a software engineer to help create the future of mobile and personal computing. Our team develops services critical to the Apple platforms experience, spanning iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS and visionOS. We are responsible for app installation, app and app extension discovery and launch, Universal Links, Handoff, and the icon compositing pipeline for apps and documents! Key Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years related software development experience

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Excellent analytical, programming and debugging skills

  • Familiarity with iOS or macOS software technologies and tools

  • Detailed knowledge of and experience with Objective-C, Swift, or C/C+ Description

In this role you will be part of an engineering team delivering components for all Apple operating systems. We develop a variety of frameworks and services for user-facing platform features, as well as APIs for external developers. Some of the technologies you will develop include installed app management, app extensions runtime, and ensuring the security and privacy of third party software. Your role will require collaborating with teams across Apple to design and deliver new features and user experiences — including brainstorming, architecting, prototyping, and implementing. You will also improve existing features based on customer feedback.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
