Key Qualifications

• 5+ years leading security/software teams

• Excellent skills for coaching team members and fostering partnerships

• Experienced leading engineering teams that deliver security services at scale

• Experience in Python, Java, or Go

• Preferred: experience with PKI, TPMs, other software/hardware security solutions, or identity aware auth proxies

• Track record of shipping customer-facing services or products

Description

Our team cares deeply about providing Apple’s customers with the highest standard in security and privacy on our products. We build large-scale systems that automate vulnerability discovery in Apple software and we build public-facing systems to collaborate with external security teams. This role is a manager role for a security software engineering team tasked with making these systems highly reliable while scaling to the needs of our customers’ 1B+ devices. In particular, this team focuses on continually bringing the state of the art in security technology and practice to the complex internal build process for iOS.

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $183,400.00 and $316,900.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
