Amazon Global Real Estate and Facilities Manager - IE & Nordics in Dublin, Ireland

The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) team provides real estate transaction expertise, business partnering, space & occupancy planning, capital investment program management and facility maintenance and operations for Amazon’s corporate office portfolio across multiple countries. We partner with suppliers to ensure quality, innovation and operational excellence with Amazon’s business and utilize customer driven feedback to continuously improve and exceed employee expectations.

The Global Real Estate and Facilities Manager (RE&F Manager) is responsible for Amazon’s Ireland, Nordics and Baltics corporate portfolio with specific focus on our AWS business teams. The position will provide strategic counsel and execute tactical initiatives, serving concurrently as an internal liaison, subject matter expert, analyst, solutions designer, project manager, and budget controller. One of the primary roles is to be the Business Partner to Amazon’s growing teams across this geographic region, earning trust and building sustainable plans to help grow the business and deliver results for customers.

This position is office-based, with the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week in line with Amazon’s current flexible work guidance. Amazon encourages open communication about unique needs for flexible arrangements.

Key job responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact between business teams and the Global Real Estate Organisation. Representing the End to End life cycle of sourcing, securing, designing, funding, operating and exiting corporate Real Estate locations

• Manage a team of contractors providing an efficient and cost-effective service to all building occupants in the delivery of facilities services. Provide management, direction, monitoring and evaluation of performance and delivery against the agreed specification. Report, escalate and rectify non-performance.

• Maximize the potential of the Real Estate portfolio while improving space utilization, ensuring assets are kept in good order and business needs are met.

• Oversee new building openings, expansions and significant projects working together with the EMEA capital projects team and subsequent vendors to meet project scope, managing communication with the occupants, country leaders and works councils.

• Work together with the EMEA Leasing and Transaction Specialist on decommission strategies throughout the business and execute for responsible countries.

• Work together with the EMEA Finance Manager to prepare annual budgets, manage and report on monthly operating expense for the region versus budget, including providing forecasts.

• Work together with the EMEA Procurement team to ensure our key suppliers remain competitive whilst providing a quality service, and new services are procured using a robust sourcing framework.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience business partnering with Country level Leadership. Comfortable writing business documents and presenting business case recommendations up to board level or equivalent.

  • Experience managing a geographically dispersed Real Estate Portfolio and multiple vendors/service partners.

  • English fluency, Advanced Microsoft Office skills, skilled negotiator

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree / MBA

  • Financial or Accounting background and qualifications

  • Business Management Qualifications and Experience
