Adwerx VP, Product Management in Durham, North Carolina

Adwerx is looking for an exceptional product leader to define and execute our product vision. As VP, Product Management, you will align stakeholders across the organization on product strategy, drive rigorous product processes, collaborate closely with engineering to ensure seamless execution, and mentor product team members. You should be a passionate product leader with a track record of delivering products that meet market needs and delight customers. You should be able to lead high-level product conversations, and help break down complex business needs into product capabilities. This role is part of the company's leadership team and reports directly to the CEO.

Backed by several leading venture capital firms, Adwerx is a B2B SaaS company that automates and simplifies advertising for Enterprises and their top Producers. Currently focused on the Real Estate and Mortgage verticals, Adwerx provides a comprehensive set of tools to automate and execute hyper-local, highly-targeted digital advertising campaigns, as well as branded, permission-based tools for the Producers at these Enterprises to directly engage their own customers and prospects. Adwerx works with hundreds of Enterprises and over 10,000 of their individual Producers across the United States and Canada.

Location: Durham, NC (this role is required to work 2-3 days per week in our Durham, NC office)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute overall product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with company objectives

  • Set the strategic product direction, defining and articulating new opportunities with input from stakeholders

  • Collaborate with functional leads to deliver on the roadmap

  • Act as a change champion, owning the implementation of an effective and scalable product management operating model, including organization design, core processes, tools, and measurable KPIs

  • Balance experience, qualitative and quantitative research as well as product sense in decision-making

  • Champion a customer-centric culture, constantly questioning and testing assumptions and biases around the needs and wants of our customers and using research to inform decision making

  • Leverage metrics and data to inform the product strategy, translating test results and insights into levers that will result in impactful products

  • Use thoughtful metrics and concise reporting to provide visibility into the impact of product work

  • Manage, mentor, and develop the product team, setting appropriate team and individual goals and holding all accountable toward progress

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 10+ years in product management experience with a strong portfolio of shipped products of high quality and with real impact

  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate, support, and influence with and without direct authority

  • Strong drive and curiosity to come up with new ideas, identify opportunities and create vision to drive the business forward

  • Data driven with experience translating test results and insights into levers that drive impactful company metrics

  • Product domain expertise spanning the customer discovery, planning, and product development process; deep understanding of customer-centric product practices; ability to mentor and develop expertise in others

  • Experience working with Agile teams, ideally with Agile transformation experience.

  • Skilled communicator. Comfortable discussing highly technical concepts with engineers and non-engineering team members alike

  • Experience with marketing or advertising technology preferred, but not required
