The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring Regulatory Compliance and Quality Management for the Quality System, Supplier Management Program, Incoming Inspection and QC Release areas of the Prepared Media Plants.

Ensures projects are completed within schedule and on budget. Accomplishes results through lower level managers/supervisors. Manages budgets, resource dollars and equipment.

Is called upon to provide technical leadership and functions as an advisor to a plant or subunit regarding tasks, projects and operations.

Is a key representative to internal organization, the plant leadership team and external customer representatives at various management levels concerning various phases of projects.

Interprets and executes policies and procedures that affect functional units. Recommends modifications to Operating policies, procedures and practices that can affect the operating unit.

Cost Center Specific Summary

Will become fully knowledgeable about respective Prepared Media plant products and customer usage of same. Keeps current with all applicable regulatory agencies and said requirements that apply to products sold or in development. Drives GMP/ISO compliance in plant. Works with internal cross functional teams (Quality Systems, Regulatory, etc) understand business and QMS needs, expectations and influence outcomes. Provides Leadership to drive business growth through compliance to Quality and Regulatory requirements. Ensures Quality representation on applicable internal project teams. Manages internal and external customer expectations.

Responsible and accountable for CAPAs, QNs, Deviations, Quality Investigations, and Validation process compliance. Accountable for Raw Material Quality, and QC Release testing. Accountable for projects related to current Prepared Media plant product, processes, and raw materials. Works with plant Leadership to implement changes and manage business objectives as member of the Operations leadership. Mentors Quality Supervisors, Quality Engineers, and QC Technicians

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and accomplish results through lower level subordinate supervisors or experienced direct reports.

  • Able to organize and prioritize assignments providing direction to and participation in assigned functional teams.

  • Able to maintain strategic and tactical interaction with local leaders and unit level leaders.

  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels.

  • Ability to represent functional and operations organization with clarity and manage conflict resolution in wide variety of settings.

  • Supports and drives change management within function and/or across business unit.

  • Key functional or cross functional liaison with stakeholders concerning operational or project deliverables.

  • Capable to manage customer satisfaction initiatives.

  • Demonstrated talent management skills.

  • Broad knowledge and understanding of applicable International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards.

  • Ability to effectively manage financials.

EDUCATION:

  • BS/BA in Science, Engineering, Regulatory

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience where 1-2 years including supervisory/leadership responsibilities
