Farmers Union Insurance Digital Marketing Specialist in Jamestown, North Dakota

Purpose of the Role: The Digital Marketing Specialist will implement and manage the Social Media and Electronic Marketing efforts for NDFU and collaborate with the marketing specialist for Farmers Union Insurance. The ideal candidate will oversee content strategy, develop brand awareness, and generate inbound traffic to company web pages. In an effort to expand our digital footprint, this position will be responsible for creating relevant content in coordination with offline marketing strategies and generating online community participation. *Key Responsibilities:*

  • Digital marketing specialists day-to-day activities:
    • Coordinate online marketing efforts.
    • Develop and expand community outreach efforts, while overseeing design in various platforms (e.g.: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, etc.).
    • Design, create (imagery, reels, videos) and manage promotions (contests, polls, surveys) and social ad campaigns.
    • Help maintain NDFU and Farmers Union Insurance related websites.
    • Compile reports for management showing results (ROI).
    • Research web copy while working to create and develop easy-to-use, clear, concise, and comprehensible content and imagery.

``` - Become an advocate for the company in Social Media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate. - Demonstrate ability to map out marketing strategy and then drive that strategy proven by testing and metrics. - Monitor social media comments on Farmers Union platforms and respond accordingly. - Monitor trends in Social Media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy. - Identify threats and/or opportunities in user generated content surrounding the business. Report notable threats to appropriate management. - Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of Social Media campaigns. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.

``` - Work collaboratively with staff to place digital ads and other electronic content on NDFU website. - Provide Social Media training/education programs to members to help expand local market presence. - Maintain written procedures for various job functions and ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of data. - Perform other related duties as assigned (e.g., manage NDFU Member Benefits program, serve on various in-house committees).

*Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: *

  • Must have a strong knowledge of SEO/SEM and fully understand digital marketing and digital production.

Must possess a solid understanding of web metrics and digital analytics, with the ability to generate, analyze and interpret data.

Maintains excellent writing and language skills and exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound.
