Ultium Cells Information Security Manager in Lansing, Michigan

Ultium Cells, LLC. is a joint venture Lithium-ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solution, Ltd., and General Motors. This high-technology plant is a new construction that will have the latest in battery cell manufacturing technology. This $2.3 billion investment will be among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors' North American electric vehicle applications.

Job Description:

This position will lead the Information security part of TN and communicate with OH Security Team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate business site risks/vulnerabilities and prepare information security actions

• Regularly audit and improve the status and practices of business site information security

• Analysis & reporting of information security vulnerability, evaluation and Audit logs of systems. (Event management of security systems)

• Establishment of an improvement plan

• Handling and response of information security incidents (act as Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT))

• Regular Management of internal Information Security Polices, Standards, Procedures and Template

• Overall management of physical and IT Security

• Monitoring for information leakages

• Communicate with outsourcing specialist

• Training & Promoting the Employees for Security Awareness Improvement

• Responsibility for in-house & external Partner's information security audits

• Communicate with OH Information Security team about business site information security

• Regular Reporting of Information Security Issue to security team leader

• Close communication with HQ Information Security team and attend regular Security meetings organized by HQ

• Response to information security related national laws (Korea, US, etc.), (Response to compliance issue)

• Serve as a focal point of contact for the information security team and the customer or organization

• Support for implementation of new IT security systems

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Security or similar field
  • 1 to 3 years management experience required
  • Bilingual skills, writing and speaking, in English and Korean required
  • 5+ years of experience in information security as well as experiences detailed below:
    • Knowledge of ISO 27001 Framework Compliance
    • Ability to work with outsourced vendors and global Information Security resources
    • Information Security Planning & Operation Management experience
    • Self-Directed and ability to work in a diverse workforce.
    • Ability to solve problems by proactively collaborating with cross-functional teams on issues
    • The willingness and ability to work flexible hours occasionally to support team
    • Excellent analytical and organization skills

    • Effective communication and presentation skills
    • MS Office tool-based report writing and oral communication skills
  • Certificated in the area of Information Security (e.g. CISA, CISSP, etc.) preferred
