Ultium Cells Overview:

Ultium Cells, LLC. is a joint venture Lithium-ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solution, Ltd., and General Motors. This high-technology plant is a new construction that will have the latest in battery cell manufacturing technology. This $2.3 billion investment will be among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors' North American electric vehicle applications.

Ultium Cells' partners include LG Energy Solution, Ltd.; the world's largest manufacturer of automotive battery cells, and General Motors; a global company committed to delivering safer, better and more sustainable ways for people to get around.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Daily Operation
    • Customer Demand Analysis (EDI & Pre-production order) 
    • Set shipping plan based on daily production plan. 
    • Manage Account Receivable / Account Payable to make sure there are no discrepancies between shipped qty. and received qty.
  • Daily communication with respective Customer and Ultium personnel
    • Prepare and support meeting on site and/or via conference call as it related to demand, sales, and project timeline.
  • Lead Cross-functional reviews to capture internal and customer requirements
    • Commercial and Technical requirements
    • Engage in sales activities for assigned customers as required.
    • Ability to articulate project challenges to stakeholders and leaderships in a timely manner for escalation transparency and guidance
  • Program Milestone Management, Risk Management to meet SOP

    • Monitor and Manage material / timing impacts such as line readiness

       

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the sales role is preferred
  • Experience in GM Supply Power preferred.
  • Experience in the Automotive industry is preferred (e.g. PPAP, 4M change, etc.)
  • English/Korean bi-lingual preferred
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in SAP and MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project)
