JOB REQUIREMENTS: Universal Presentation Concepts (UPC) is looking to hire full-time Engineer Drafter to join our team at our Madison, WI facility to create exciting new retail store fixtures and point of purchase (POP) displays. As a Drafter, you will turn rough sketches, CAD layouts, and notes into precise detailed plans to manufacture retail store fixtures and point of purchase displays for our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting and design support to multiple design teams involved with conceptual, preliminary and final design. Common job duties will include: Develop detailed design drawings and specifications using AutoCAD & Solid Works under the supervision of engineers. Create material yield layouts, 3D model packaging diagrams and assembly instructions. Research and specify materials to be used on products; determine tools, equipment, and supplies for production. Work directly with the design team helping bring concept generation to working prototypes and models for production. Stay connected with project and provide hands-on work with prototype and production orders. Interact with design and engineering teams to ensure bill of materials (BOM) are accurate and up to date. Review and audit BOM\'s to ensure they reflect the latest manufacturing practices. Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data affecting engineering and manufacturing procedures. Assist in maintaining document control and produce bill of materials using Excel. Tell me more about Universal Presentation Concepts (UPC)... Our processes include: large format printing, silk screening, CNC machining, vacuum forming, edge banding, finishing, plastic fabrication, custom/studio work, assembly and packaging, warehouse and shipping.
