Kuehne+Nagel National Sea Logistics LCL Manager in Melbourne, Australia

You will be part of our Sea Logistics team, adding your leadership expertise + skills to the delivery of Customer + Operational Excellence.

Your Role

Your primary objective is to develop, implement and drive the local product + business development strategy for our less than full container load product (LCL). You will do this by working with a variety of internal + external stakeholders while focusing on the following key objectives.

Your Responsibilities

  • Drive sales + key account managers in developing LCL opportunities, regularly joining sales calls.

  • Work with the customer care + operational care teams (CCL + OCC) ensure the dedication + expertise to meet customer demands is deployed.

  • Ensuring the profitability of the product

  • Upload + maintain LCL selling rates (MSR) to our designated system (KN Rates) to support our pricing department with quotations, in particular with tailor-made selling rates for important opportunities.

  • To negotiate trucking + container freight station (CFS) rates according to optimize the yield of the product, with the best service provider available according to our standards.

  • Develop tailor-made solutions for customers based on the product portfolio.

  • To optimize yields by managing cargo flows via the best transportation options. #LI-DNI
