Overview: The Validation Technician will be responsible for product testing and reporting. This technician shall operate tensile testers, moisture analyzers, thermal chambers, UV chambers, as well as other types of gages and setups. Tests are used to validate new products, test prototypes, and provide statistical information. This person will also be responsible for designing new test fixtures, writing test plans, and performing tests that support research. What You Will Do: Perform mechanical, thermal, vibration, UV, and chemical testing on HellermannTyton products. Write and coordinate test plans with design engineers, quality assurance, processing technicians, and any other department or individual that requires Validation testing. Write test reports for internal and external customers. Generate statistical information and interpretations of data. Design test fixturing for new products using SolidWorks. Use lean methodology to perform project tasks. Research and understand test methods such as ASTM, ISO, and military specifications. Communicate with customers, suppliers, and project team members throughout all aspects of the business. Perform research on new or used testing equipment that the lab can use for obtaining results. Organize and prioritize daily activities to meet required deadlines. What You Bring (Qualifications): Basic understanding of statistical terms such as Cpk, Cp, Ppk, Pp, and Probability Distribution Curves Employs excellent analytical skills using scientific knowledge and statistical calculations. Actively practices Lean and Six Sigma basics. High School Diploma or equivalent A technical degree and experience in a testing lab is preferred. Familiar with Microsoft Windows and Office products. Must have a valid driver\'s license, with an acceptable driving record, along with adequate insurance. Keys for Success: High mechanical aptitude and is detail-orientated.
