Peoples Bank Treasury Management Sales Officer in Munster, Indiana

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Responsibilities

  • Ability to work independently and partner with Business Bankers to develop new and deepen existing customer relationships
  • Assists Banking Center Staff with Treasury Management sales and inquiries
  • Generate new business by identifying market opportunities through cold calls, warm calls, and referrals
  • Responsible for meeting sales goals for Treasury Management and Bank product and service cross-sales
  • Responsible for the development of target list of prospects using Bank and outside data sources
  • Perform product demonstrations and implementations over the telephone, in-person, or by email
  • Drive new sales opportunities by determining customer needs and cross-selling Bank products and services
  • Deepen established customer relationships through regular check-in calls to ensure Treasury Management solutions are meeting their needs. Identify and implement additional solutions that will help customers improve business operations.
  • Participate in new customer onboarding
  • Gather and prepare materials for customer review plans and RFPs
  • Attends Officer Loan Committees to uncover new or additional Treasury Management needs of customers
  • Timely responses to internal and external inquires

Industry KnowledgeEnhancement

  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge and serve as subject matter expert on system abilities, industry best practices, procedures, agreements, enrollment forms, and associated risks
  • Remain informed of new developments in Treasury Management
  • Understand competitor capabilities and gaps, and how to position Bank solutions against them

Reporting Results and Employee Education

  • Prepare monthly sales and pipeline reports to review with management
  • Educate and advise Bank employees on Treasury Management solutions
  • Annually review existing customers' pricing and make adjustments with Business Banker's consent

Community

  • Maintain involvement in various community activities and organizations to enhance recognition of Peoples Bank and demonstrates the core vales of the company
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of the communities served including new and established businesses
  • Develop and maintain a referral network with centers of influence

Risk Management

  • Conduct customer and service risk assessments (limits, usage, activity, worthiness)
  • Obtain all necessary documentation prior to establishing a new account
  • Review and ensure the completeness and accuracy of signed customer agreements, enrollment, and change request forms
  • Understand and implement Bank policy, regulatory changes, and audit recommendations
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS
  • Reports to VP, Senior Treasury Management Officer
  • Maintains strong relationships and collaboration skills with Business Bankers, Banking Center Managers, Retail Banking Group Leaders, Digital Banking Manager, and Department Managers as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in a business or communications field required
  • 5+ years Treasury Management experience with existing commercial relationships preferred
  • Experience with FIS Digital Banking and Treasury Management solutions helpful
  • Strong sales skills and customer service experience
  • Ability to offer and demonstrate products and services to customers over the telephone, in-person, or by email
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Maintain involvement in a minimum of one community leadership or "high visibility" role
  • Strong Windows-based PC and software skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Salesforce to log calls, referrals and closings
  • Requires travel to meeting locations and Banking Centers
