Edwards Lifesciences Assoc Spec, Occupational Health, Critical Care in Nave 15, Dominican Republic

Provide nursing services and emergency first aid treatment to employees within the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and advice to employees in evaluating health risk assessment and identifying ergonomics issues in collaboration with Physicians , EHS, and physical therapist

• Manage LOA cases, including to provide orientation to all personnel on different licenses (e.g, workers comp, SINOT, FMLA, ACCA, Maternity, Return to work) as needed; new hire orientation on welfare benefits information and advising HRBP’s regarding employee work restrictions and potential accommodations of medical conditions. Provide case management of all workers compensation claims; including conducting and documenting factual investigations and analyzing medical records

• Manage onsite health screening programs (e.g., medical surveillance, hearing and respiratory conservations, Internal Clinic Health Fairs), and/or any other programs (e.g., Wellness Program), referrals for clinical evaluations; interpret, document and communicate program results based on knowledge of regulatory requirements.

• Provide initial health assessment and corresponding first-aid including all appropriate health services and on the job injuries and illnesses

• Maintain records (e.g., employee files and industrial hygiene results) within appropriate process/system, track health visits attendance, and update policies and procedures as it relates to Occupational Health

• Analyze data utilizing occupational health information sources/metrics to establish and recommend preventative strategies

• Collaborate with appropriate vendors (e.g, healthcare, pharmacy, Cobra administrator, disability management program) to resolve employee queries

• Other duties as assigned by Leadership, including torepresent Company on Corporate Occupational Health matters; relatedaudits and meetings

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with a registered license from the Department of Health Board , 5 years experience Occupational Health Nurse experience

Additional Skills:

• Adhere to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to department clean room medical device manufacturing

• Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, Adobe, and ability to operate general office machinery

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills

• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills

• Ability to manage confidential information with high level of discretion

• Strict attention to detail

• Sense of urgency

• Excellent organization and planning skills

• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels

• Accountable to adhere to applicable Edwards Environmental, Health and Safety and Quality System requirements to ensure our products and services consistently meet customer and regulatory

• Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

• Ensure proper handling, storage and disposal of all waste generated in the facility according to applicable laws within the waste management program (RCRA). Prepare regulatory and/or internal reports, complete waste determinations, sign waste manifests and coordinate proper training sessions to affected personnel
