Graebel Companies, Inc. Sr Project Manager - Finance in Remote, Colorado

This role can be based anywhere in the United States with preference for candidates based in the Denver metro area.

Senior Project Managers hold a critical position within the Graebel organization and are instrumental in partnering with stakeholders and project teams to help achieve the company’s strategic goals through the implementation of business solutions across the enterprise. The ideal project manager will meet the right balance between facilitating Graebel’s Functional Service Team’s (FST) leadership activities and demonstrating strong project management and organizational change management skills. Graebel’s FST is responsible for key back-office functions such as Finance, IT, and related support functions in a fast pace continuous improvement environment. An enthusiasm for Finance and IT disciplines is a plus.

Principal/Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage the implementation of key projects on Graebel’s FST focus list of cross-functional projects

  • Effectively identify, communicate, and solution cross-team issues, risks, and conflicting priorities

  • Develop and manage project plans and artifacts throughout the duration of the effort

  • Communicate project status, including milestones and budget compliance, regularly to stakeholders and executive sponsors with emphasis on key issues and risks

  • Facilitate conversations among stakeholders to obtain agreement on project scope and success criterion

  • Facilitate key leadership meeting materials and coordinate meeting activities

  • Successfully manage project budgets and timelines

  • Prepare executive and board level reporting on key initiatives

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Proven techniques to track, monitor, and control all aspects of a project

  • Results-oriented approach, with the ability to drive execution within the project team

  • Experience managing software development and implementation programs/projects

  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization - written, verbal, and presentation

  • Additional personal characteristics: a questioning mind that gives you the ability to delve deep into issues; innovative, out-of-the-box thinking; a holistic perspective; persuasive, coalition-building style; customer-centric focus

  • Exemplary customer service skills

  • Ability to multi-task and balance priorities

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Agile/Scrum knowledge and expertise is a big plus

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Required Experience

  • Experience in successful project management, or equivalent applicable experience

  • Experience effectively managing cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization

  • P roven track record of on-time, on-budget project delivery

  • Proven experience driving effective communication/collaboration across functional and technical teams

  • Proven track record of developing methods and means for collecting requirements

  • Experience quickly learning new tools and applications and effectively leveraging them

  • Experience with various project delivery and change management models (e.g., Agile/Scrum, ADKAR, etc.)

  • Experience in implementing change into an organization a plus

  • 4-year degree or equivalent related experience
