HORIZONS Conference Center is seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer to join our team to support our family of businesses. This role will be responsible for creating visually stunning designs that effectively communicate our company's brand messages across various platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, a keen eye for detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field.
• 2 -- 3 years' experience as a graphic designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative and professional design work.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design software.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft/Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
• Experience with web design, content management systems (WordPress, Squarespace or GoDaddy Web Builder) and motion graphics.
• Basic knowledge of HTML & CSS.
• Solid understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects for multiple stakeholders simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience and success in marketing strategy, social media content development and digital marketing. Minimum novice to intermediate experience in video editing.
• Ecommerce experience would be a plus: Clover (Order Spoon), GoDaddy Market
• Designing Digital Email Marketing would be a plus: Constant Contact

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Include The following:

Graphic Design:

Assist HORIZONS Family of businesses with graphic design needs including Michigan Cream & Sugar, Patisserie, State Street Café, Diamond Café and other related businesses.

Create engaging and innovative designs for both digital and print mediums, including but not limited to social media graphics, website assets, email newsletters, brochures, flyers, posters, and advertisements.

Develop visual concepts in line with brand guidelines and project objectives.

Produce high-quality graphics that enhance brand identity and resonate with target audiences.

Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design software to bring concepts to life.

Update HORIZONS State Street billboard with event signs weekly.
