Hiring now Surgical Technicians

Join a tight-knit team within a small hospital in scenic Shelton, WA! This is a full-time position, day-shift with 1 or 2 days on-call required, schedules available 1 month in advance.

Pay range is $25.46-$36.66, eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus!

The Surgical Technician supports the surgical team and assists with caring for patients in the operating room by handling the necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures. They will apply their knowledge and training to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure, anticipating the surgical team's needs, and maintaining the sterile field.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the surgical team as the primary scrub person handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures.

  • Assess the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients. Advocate for the patient. Provide individualized patient and family-focused care throughout the patient's stay and evaluate efficacy.

  • Accurately and effectively anticipate changes in patient care needs. Communicate and document changes in patient condition in a timely manner to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.

  • Participate in patient and family education as evidenced by teaching documentation with appropriate resources.

  • Initiate effective discharge and referral plans upon admission utilizing appropriate hospital and community resources.

  • Delegate patient care activities to appropriate personnel and maintain accountability for those activities. Assist other nursing team members through the steps of the nursing process.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Completion of an accredited training program in Surgical Technology.

  • One year of operating room experience strongly preferred.

Required Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:

  • Current Surgical Technician certification in the state of Washington (preferred)

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $36.00 per hour
