HP Inc. Manager, New Product Introduction Display Solutions in Spring, Texas

Description

We have an immediate opening for a Manager of our Displays Solutions New Product Introduction (NPI) team. This individual will lead the overall vision, strategy, innovation narrative, and sales-enablement assets to support the launch of new monitors (commercial and gaming) and docking stations across pan-HP launch cycles, PR announcements, and events (internal/external). The delivery of an impactful product narrative and integration into the greater HP ecosystem of products is critical success to enable HP's go-to-market engines and sales teams to win customer, partner, and media preference.

As Manager of the Displays Solutions NPI team, you will lead a diverse team of marketing managers and creative professionals tasked to develop a set of pre-defined internal assets designed to train sales teams on positioning and key selling points of new products in line with business priorities and category 4P strategy. You will work with stakeholders across business units and functions including product management, worldwide marketing, regional product category teams, sales, and content teams to execute assets.This role is also responsible for adhering to various process requirements for introducing new products on time and on budget, educating cross-functional stakeholders on product narratives, and for aligning and reporting pan-HP launch opportunities and risks to senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of People Management function (65% of the role) including establishing and setting team and individual annual goals, writing annual performance plans, monitoring employee engagement, mentoring, training, and career development, prioritizing projects.

  • Responsible for ensuring efficient processes and tools are in place to support the team in the execution of sales-enablement assets - accurately, on time, and on budget - in line with strategic business objectives. Drive stakeholder groups to meet NPI quality objectives, identify gaps, and define solutions for process improvements.

  • Manage team to deliver quality content and creative visuals for sales-enablement assets in partnership with worldwide marketing, photography and graphics teams, hp.com team, and third-party agencies. Sales enablement assets include:

  • Monitors & Docks portfolio pillars, messaging, key selling points, presentations

  • Product-specific and integrated ecosystem narratives & messaging

  • Product presentations

  • Product & ecosystem photos, videos, animations

  • Product launch newsletters, press presentations,

  • Datasheets and technical specifications

  • Technology-specific training presentations/materials

  • E-tail content (A+ content and Annotated Images)

  • Web content

  • Product demos and samples for press workshops and internal/external events

  • Engage with stakeholders across business units and functions (worldwide marketing, public relations, corporate communications, customer insights, commercial PCs, gaming, and hybrid systems businesses) to increase awareness and drive growth for new monitors and docks, while driving integration across the greater HP PC ecosystem of products.

  • Engage with PR team to define announcement strategy of new products, define timing for press workshops, develop relationships with media to increase product reviews and ratings.

  • Lead the communication strategy, in conjunction with other business unit managers, to drive education and sales of HP ecosystems.

  • Manage narrative/theme strategy and participation at internal/external events and product showcases.

  • Engage with Displays Solutions executive team to communicate strategy, quantifiable results, and report out on improvements.

Education and Experience Required:

  • College degree in Marketing, Communications, and/or Business.

  • Proven experience as People Manager and managing teams.

  • Demonstrated strategic leadership in product management and/or launching new products to market.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • 10 years in product marketing and communications.

  • Proven experience leading and driving teams towards a common goal.

  • Process-oriented with project management skills (SmartSheet).

  • Ability to interact with all levels of the company, including senior management.

  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams, sales personnel, R&D, customers, and virtual teams globally.
