We are seeking an experienced Director - Rare Disease, to lead and drive our company's business strategy and initiatives related to the treatment and support of rare diseases. As the Rare Disease Director, you will be accountable for all rare disease related employees and for the rare disease portfolio business results in the Nordics. The role is expected to act as a key spokesperson on the field of Rare Diseases in the Nordics, and build string relationships with key stakeholders in all four Nordic markets..

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Set the ambition, goals and objectives for the Nordics with regards to our Rare Disease Portfolio, to challenge the status quo, lead change and drive business performance.

  2. Lead the rare disease commercial and medical teams, providing guidance and support to reach our business goals.

  3. Identify and prioritize key markets and target audiences for rare disease products, ensuring effective product launch and adoption.

  4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including healthcare professionals, patient advocacy groups, and payers.

  5. Establish strong, highly collaborative relationships with other J&J leaders and leverage capabilities to support Nordic business needs in Rare Disease

  6. Stay updated with the latest developments, trends, and regulations in the rare disease market affecting commercial, medical or HEMAR activities.

  7. Analyze market data and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities and drive strategic decision-making.

  8. Identify and pursue partnership opportunities, including licensing, collaborations, and acquisitions, to expand the company's rare disease product portfolio.

  9. Manage risk, conduct business activities in compliance with ethical and legal requirements.

  10. Accountable for LRF and BP in country of responsibility.

  11. Participate in the Nordic leadership team.

Qualifications

  • MBA degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in medical and /or commercial leadership roles within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with a focus on rare diseases.

  • Prior experience from working in one of the Nordic countries

  • Strong understanding of the rare disease market landscape, including patient access pathways and reimbursement challenges.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Strategic thinking and ability to drive innovative go-to-market approaches in the rare disease market.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from market data.
