Job Description

Position Responsibilities:

 

  • Technical oversight of Virology quality control assays
  • General lab duties (cleaning, stocking, cold room 5S, etc.)
  • Technical writing
  • Deviation management
    • Investigate laboratory deviations and errors to determine root cause and ensure Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs) are implemented
    • Review data audits
    • Author reports as needed
    • Ensure investigations adhere to the compliance-driven timeline
  • Qualification and Validation studies
  • Providing analytical change management support for Virology testing labs
  • Ensuring compliance in the laboratory in accordance with cGMPs, and GLPs, regulation, and policies/procedures

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate would possess:

 

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of general laboratory skills and techniques
  • Demonstrated self-starter with capability to develop innovative solutions to challenges
  • Excellent communication skills- with oral and written
  • Strong organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies (GMP knowledge a plus)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Virology lab experience preferable
  • Cell culture, tissue culture adventitious agent testing experience

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Degree Requirements: science or other related degree concentration - BS with 1+ years of experienceOR MS with graduate research experience or 6 months+ experience
  • Aseptic laboratory technique experience
  • Experience Troubleshooting Laboratory Deviations
  • Technical writing experience
  • Experience with LIMS and Electronic laboratory notebooks
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team-oriented setting
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

Position is first shift, full-time with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of West Point , PAare encouraged to apply.
